The Employee Relations Investigator plays a critical role and must be insightful and results-oriented with an ability to manage complex situations and issue a factual and thorough report.

Sensitive employee matters are handled with care, consistency, and integrity. The process is impartial with an end result of promoting accountability. An investigator leads impartial investigations into employee concerns, including unprofessional conduct, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and policy violations. Helene Horn Figman, J.D. maintains discretion, empathy, and resilience when handling confidential and sensitive issues.

She has the proven ability to conduct fair, comprehensive workplace investigations, with a strong knowledge of employment law, HR practices, and compliance frameworks, with exceptional analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

She analyzes and synthesizes information – interviews, documentation, and data – to develop balanced, evidence-based findings, which are communicated effectively to stakeholders. This enables the employer to effectuate resolutions and process improvements.

Ms. Figman provides in-person training to sites with only twelve employees to companies with over one hundred employees. Her virtual presentations have been a great resource to employers during these times of remote work. She also addresses business groups and professional organizations.
